The Massart ReStore is open again!

The Massart ReStore is open again! That one sentence may be enough to send readers running down to Kennedy for goodies, but for any underclassmen who have no idea what I’m referring to, let me explain further.
The ReStore is a magical place that helps to facilitate sustainable art practices right here on campus and has been running for twelve years. It’s located in the basement of Kennedy, right across from the bookstore. It’s a completely free, volunteer-run “store” where anyone can donate used items for other students to take and use however they wish. It’s currently run by managers Nina (she/her) and Quinn (he/him), as well as a cast of volunteers that work during the week to keep the ReStore running. Have any used art supplies that still have life in them? Any old books or stationery that could use a new home? Consider donating to the ReStore! You can drop donations off in bins that are placed around campus, or right outside the store. The stock at the ReStore changes based on what gets donated, but there are almost always canvases, paper, and other basic supplies available, so it’s worth a trip even if you’re not looking for anything specific, something may spark your interest!
Every once in a while, the ReStore hosts raffles or giveaways for any especially good donations that they received. You may have heard of the life-sized model skeleton that was raffled off at the ReStore this past month, well, make sure to keep an eye out for any other goodies that go up for raffle!
There are still openings for new volunteers! Time slots are available from 8:00am to 10:00am every day of the week, and on Fridays from 8:00am to 2:00pm. DM the @MassartReStore instagram account, or email restore@massart.edu for more information!
